It has a similar interface style, lots of capabilities, but not as heavyweight as Gimp. 🙄įor those who are interested in a pinta-like tool you might want to check out Krita. Crash log/backtrace this log is created when Krita closes incorrectly because of an internal issue. You'd think with all the crash reports over the years someone would be motivated to make it more solid. If 1.6.2 starts crashing I'll just give up on pinta (again) - I've made do without it for years by just using Gimp and Kolourpaint neither of which has ever crashed. so, when i use vector layer, selecting color, grouping/ungrouping, changing layer often makes krita crashing. I actually gave up on Pinta years ago precisely because of the frequent crashes. the colorspace and channel depth and pixel dimensions of your image. I reinstalled all the mono packages and tried the old 1.6.2 version - so far no crashes. But some more info is needed to figure out what might be going on: the exact version of Krita you are using, and where you got it from. a slowdown in start-up time experienced by some people, and a crash when copying a vector layer.
#KRITA CRASHING FOR MAC#
Haven't checked yet if manually installing the latest mono solves this issue. Download the latest version of Krita for Mac for free. Which os, and which version of krita are you using. Then you can go on the Krita website and check the latest version available. in krita you could try switching the tablet API go to settings->Configure Krita->Tablet settings and try thr other API and see if you have luck after the restart.
#KRITA CRASHING SKIN#
You can check what version you have by clicking on the About tab of the app. Another thing weve been busy with are regressions, mostly crashes with Colorize Mask, onion skin and animation files and the Transform Tool. Anyone get Pinta to run without crashing (due to mono bug - )? Debian is using an ancient version of mono (6.8.0.105 - over a year old) so Pinta is probably hitting this bug. The most common cause for Krita crashing is that you're not using the most up-to-date version of the app.
